Job Duties:

• Responsible for personnel, ordering material, scheduling, maintaining Production and providing a safe workplace.
• Responsible for managing and directing all personnel in the department.
• Oversees and coordinates with Production Manager to determine production schedules.
• Responsible for making certain all machinery and equipment is maintained for safe and efficient operation.
• Schedule machine set-ups as required.
• Report major equipment repairs and updates needed to maintenance and to the Manager
• Trains staff on production equipment and machinery.
• Ensures OSHA standards are met by enforcing PPE and other safety standards.
• Retrain employees as needed.
• Ensures quality of product is maintained.
• Complies with ISO Standards and all company policy.
• Requisitions raw materials as needed for production areas and monitors overall inventory.
• Collects and reviews production reports for employee efficiency and accuracy.
• Responsible for coordination and accuracy of department's Year End physical inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience with inventory control and production planning. MRP experience a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot production equipment if necessary.
• Highly flexible; able to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $65,000 - $85,000. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
