analytical student or recent graduate to join BIL Suisse as a Data &
IT Intern. You will support two strategic pillars of the bank: IT
transformation initiatives, including Avaloq core banking upgrades and new
business functionalities, and the implementation of the bank’s data strategy
and data governance framework. The internship is based in Zurich, starting as soon as possible, for a duration of 6–8 months with a 50–60% workload. You
will work closely with the Head of IT, the Data team, Product
Owners and various business stakeholders, gaining hands-on experience at
the intersection of core banking systems, data strategy execution,
documentation and technical data analysis within a regulated Swiss banking
environment.
test case preparation, execution, and documentation for Avaloq releases
and upgrade projects
with internal stakeholders and external vendors to validate system
functionalities
defects and test progress and following up on resolution
to IT documentation and knowledge-sharing activities
the documentation and operationalisation of the bank’s data strategy and
data governance framework
in the coordination of data-related initiatives across IT, Finance, Risk,
and Business teams
to data inventories, data quality checks, and analytical assessments
basic data extraction, analysis, and simple scripting (e.g. SQL, Python)
presentations and documentation for stakeholders and management
or Master’s student (or recent graduate) in Computer Science, Business IT,
Data Science, Engineering or Finance
interest in data, IT systems and digital transformation in banking
understanding of the IT project lifecycle and core data concepts
to SQL, Python or data analysis tools is a strong asset
analytical and proactive working style
in English; German and French is a plus
