Job Overview:

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Clinical Interns at Calm Seas Psychotherapy, LCSW, PLLC. This part-time internship opportunity is designed for those who are pursuing a career in mental health and wish to gain valuable hands-on experience in a supportive and professional environment. Our practice works specifically with Law Enforcement, first responders and military members as well as their families. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our licensed clinicians and contribute to providing high-quality therapeutic services to our clients. This is position with a commitment of 15-25 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

- Assist licensed clinicians in conducting therapy sessions with individuals, couples, and families

- Observe and participate in group therapy sessions and support groups

- Conduct intake assessments and contribute to treatment planning

- Maintain accurate and confidential client records

- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure the delivery of comprehensive care

- Participate in weekly supervision and training sessions

- Stay updated on current research and best practices in the field of mental health

Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in a MSW, MHC, MFT, FMHC Master's degree Social Work program. PsyD and PhD students for internship, practicum and research. Counseling, or a related field.

- Passion for working in the mental health field and a desire to gain practical experience

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines

- Reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision

- Flexibility to work evening and/or weekend hours, as needed

- Proficiency in Google Office Suite and electronic health record systems is a plus
