We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee our accounting and financial operations. This role is responsible for accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Controller will oversee a Team of 2 and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, billing, inventory, cost accounting, revenue recognition, budgeting, and tax compliance.
* Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Manage cash flow, bank accounts, debt payments, and funding balances.
* Ensure timely payment and collection of all accounts.
* Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
* Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
* Support the CFO and leadership with insights on pricing, investments, contracts, and cost management.
* Coordinate internal and external audits and prepare required documentation.
* Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial and tax regulations.
* Identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
* Perform other related duties as needed.
Education & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; equivalent combination of education, training, and experience considered.
* 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality or resort industry
* Prior experience in an accounting role such as Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, or Accounting Manager
