Qualifications: 

• Assist with the development, management, and delivery of a comprehensive school counseling program.
• Facilitate individual student planning meetings that support academic and personal goals.
• Provide preventative and responsive services to students.
• Measure and analyze data to help guide program development and implementation.
• Strong emphasis on bilingual candidates (Spanish strongly preferred).

Description: The purpose of a school counselor in Elmhurst CUSD 205 is to positively impact the achievement of all students by addressing their developmental needs through the delivery of a comprehensive school counseling program that supports the academic, college/career, and social-emotional development of all students. Counselors work collaboratively with students, administrators, teachers, parents, and the community to promote student success and respond to identified student needs. This position supports York's EL and Bilingual programs, including push-in and pull-out supports to EL students across academic, social-emotional, and post-secondary domains.

Tentative Dates of Assignment 8/11/2026 - 11/6/2026

License Required: IL Professional Educator License (PEL) with proper endorsements required and registered in DuPage County. 

Long Term Substitute rate of pay is $250 per day.
