JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and servicing oilfield equipment and completing all paperwork in accordance with the current QA maintenance program and company policies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Nabors drilling equipment.
- Must be able to read and understand hydraulic schematics.
- Basic knowledge of electrical principles.
- Understanding of precision measuring equipment such as dial indicators, torque wrenches and electrical meters.
- Organizes and keeps equipment maintenance and inspections up to date
- Dismantles, adjusts, and repairs equipment according to maintenance specifications and repair manuals.
- Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
- Attends required training as deemed necessary by job duties, Training, Operations, Safety, Quality etc.
- Learns and becomes conversant with all company philosophies, policies, and procedures including safety, quality, operational, and environmental training.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience – High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and trade/technical school diploma or 1 years related experience in any one of the following our vocations: Mechanical, Electrical, Drilling Systems or Electronics.
Language Skills – Must be fluent in English, and possess the following abilities: to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, to write simple correspondence, to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical skills – Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Posses the ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage.
Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills – General knowledge of word processing software and email messaging, and an all around general knowledge of computers operations.
