Job Description

Purpose Statement:  Supply Chain Solutions - Sourcing:  Negotiate lowest total cost of ownership supply side component contracts for assigned commodities. Support sites in achieving customer satisfaction with associated cost, quality, delivery, and working capital.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Negotiation of supply side component contracts, purchase agreements & tooling awards (where applicable).
  • Project manage cross-functionally to success in launch, stabilize, and optimize sourcing solutions.
  • Collaborate to the lowest total cost of ownership sourcing solutions/value proposition for assigned commodities.
  • Collaborate with customers including PLXS-ENG & PLXS-MFG stakeholders.
  • Execute supplier qualification procedures to ensure quality, delivery, cost, working capital and with overall customer satisfaction.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree. Typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.

Other Qualifications:  

  • Procurement, supply chain, distribution, and logistics competence
  • Strong experience driving KPIs
  • Demonstrated commodity management expertise
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization
  • Strong data analysis and decision-making capabilities
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Project management experience

Physical Requirements:  

  • Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.

Travel Requirements:  

  • Less than 40%
