The AI Program Lead is responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and delivering process improvements that drive measurable operational efficiency, margin expansion, and cost optimization across the enterprise through strategic usage of AI or other levers. This role partners closely with business, finance, IT, and growth leaders to ensure AI initiatives are grounded in clear business cases, disciplined execution, and realized financial impact, not experimentation alone.

Serving as a bridge between strategy and execution, the AI Program Lead translates operational challenges into scalable AI-enabled solutions while establishing repeatable processes, standards, and governance to sustain long-term value creation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Process Analysis & Value Assessment

  • Analyze existing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, manual effort, and automation opportunities
  • Assess processes for AI and automation suitability based on impact, feasibility, and risk
  • Quantify potential benefits including labor productivity gains, margin expansion, cost reduction, cycle time improvement, and accuracy enhancements
  • Collaborate with Finance and Growth teams to estimate, validate and track ROI
  • Prioritize opportunities based on financial return, strategic alignment and execution readiness

AI Intake, Enablement & Education

  • Establish and manage a formal AI intake and evaluation process to ensure alignment with enterprise priorities and value thresholds
  • Facilitate discovery sessions and workshops to identify viable AI and automation use cases.
  • Educate stakeholders on AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible use
  • Translate business challenges into clear, actionable AI use cases

AI Solution Prototyping & Technical Evaluation

  • Build and oversee lightweight prototypes, proofs of concept, and pilots using internal and external resources.
  • Configure and test AI tools, copilots, agents, or workflow automations for evaluation purposes
  • Evaluate AI models, platforms, and vendors through hands-on testing, cost-benefit analysis, and scalability assessment.
  • Demonstrate AI capabilities and recommendations to business and IT stakeholders

AI Platform Strategy & Technology Enablement

  • Partner with Technology to inform and influence AI tool, platform, and service selection based on business needs and value realization
  • Define preferred AI technologies and patterns
  • Promote reuse, scalability, and standardization of AI solutions across teams
  • Ensure AI solutions integrate with existing systems and data sources

Delivery Oversight & Adoption

  • Oversee AI initiatives from ideation through pilot and rollout
  • Define and track KPIs and realized benefits, ensuring projected efficiency and margin improvements are achieved and sustained.
  • Support adoption of AI-enabled workflows through training and change management
  • Document best practices and maintain a prioritized AI and automation roadmap

AI Governance, Security & Responsible Use

  • Establish guardrails for AI usage, including data privacy, security, and compliance requirements
  • Ensure alignment with IT security policies and regulatory standards
  • Maintain visibility into AI usage and address unauthorized or inappropriate use

REQUIREMENTS

Required

  • Bachelor�s degree in Business, Operations, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing business processes and identifying opportunities for operational improvement, efficiency, and value creation
  • Experience working with AI, automation, or intelligent workflow technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes and identify improvement opportunities
  • Working Knowledge of system integrations, data flows, and enterprise technology environments
  • Ability to translate between business needs and technical solutions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Highly Preferred

  • Experience implementing AI or automation solutions at enterprise scale
  • Background in program or product management for technology initiatives
  • Experience in regulated or data-sensitive environments
  • Exposure to M&A or multi-platform enterprise environments

Preferred

  • Familiarity with AI platforms, APIs, or low-code/no-code automation tools
  • Experience evaluating and managing technology vendors or proofs of concept
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance considerations related to AI
  • Experience supporting change management or technology adoption initiatives

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical requirements can vary, but generally, they may include:

  • Lifting: Occasional lifting of office materials or equipment up to 10 lbs. (e.g., laptops, documents). No heavy lifting is required.
  • Mobility: Ability to move within an office environment, attend meetings, and occasionally travel between company sites or to vendor locations.
  • Working Conditions: Primarily a professional office setting with standard business hours. May involve occasional remote work or virtual meetings. Minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Personal Protective Gear: Not typically required. Standard business attire or company dress code applies.
  • Extended Sitting or Standing: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional standing during presentations, workshops, or meetings.
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands for typing, handling documents, and operating office equipment. Fine motor skills required for computer and device usage.
  • Driving: Occasional driving may be required for off-site meetings, conferences, or vendor visits. Must maintain a valid driver�s license if travel is necessary.
