Primary responsibilities:

• Assists the driver with the transportation of students to and from school.
• Assists the students with all safety facets while en-route, as well as the boarding and disembarking, and seatbelts.
• Develop a positive professional relationship with parents, school staff, and students.
• Sits in an area on the vehicle to ensure observation of all passengers at all times & make sure they are following safety rules.
• Assists the driver in reporting bus safety or conducts issues by students.
• Is aware of problems between students and keeping those students separated by assigning seats.
• Evacuate students from vehicle as trained in case of emergency.
• Assists driver with pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintains student conduct at all times.
• Ensures students take their belongings as they leave the vehicle.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass pre-employment background.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Clean Background Check and Driving Record.
• Reliable attendance.
• Prior PMT is a plus and may be provided by the district.
• Ability to receive and carry out instructions to perform work.

Rate of Pay:  $20/hr
Approximately 2.5 - 5 hrs/day
