The Book of Business(“BOB”) of a VIS does contain the very important customers for the company under assigned Fashion Vertical, either on local, regional or global level. It is a mix of key existing customers and high potential prospects.
Depending on Book of Business and share of wallet of customer, a VIS is still a GROWTH role with majority of activities being growth driven.
The VIS role is clearly a cross-product role with complex external and internal stakeholder management. Early engagement with product and management levels is essential. It is also a role independent from branch for national VISs and independent from a country for regional and global VISs. Their responsibilities include consulting with customers and promoting all services provided by Hellmann, including building relationships up to the senior management level.
In this role, the sales cycle is extended and requires active/constant relationship building including developing a clear understanding of customer requirements.
Those results mainly in RFQ driven opportunities with longer validity.
The focus is on solution-driven selling rather than transactional sales.
Additionally, the role also involves early escalation in the event of operational or commercial services. disruptions. VISs dedicated to Fashion vertical continually enhance their knowledge and skills.
Lastly, conducting regular customer health checks is part of the responsibilities.
About You
- Quality of pipeline, key opportunities at each Sales stage for all products captured in the system
- Sufficient win ratio as defined by the team head
- Activities / Visit reports in the system
- Completeness of account plan in the system
- Active engagement and management of account team
- Significant YOY Growth of BOB in volume and GP across all products
- Sufficient stakeholder and relationship management and early engagement with product
- Early alignment on upcoming opportunities (an opportunity cannot start with the launch of an RFQ – in accordance with OMT process
