Job Description:Position: Procurement Quality Engineer – (PQE)
Department: QA/QC
Reports To: Corporate QAQC Manager
Employment Type: Full‑Time (Multi‑Project EPC Support)
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage procurement quality activities in compliance with project specifications, client Project Quality Management Requirements and applicable standards for ADNOC, TAQA and other EPC projects.
- Verify vendor qualification and compliance with Approved Vendor Lists (AVL) and client‑approved sources.
- Perform quality review of Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) to ensure technical and quality compliance with project specifications prior to procurement approvals.
- Review and approve vendor quality documentation including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Vendor Document Requirements Lists (VDRLs), Manufacturing Records (MRs), procedures and quality plans.
- Coordinate and participate in vendor Kick‑Off Meetings (KOMs), Pre‑Inspection Meetings (PIMs) and quality clarification meetings to communicate quality requirements and expectations.
- Coordinate and monitor inspection activities including vendor inspections, third‑party inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and critical hold/witness points.
- Manage procurement‑related non‑conformances (NCRs), deviations and concession requests, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure full material traceability through correct certification, inspection records and documentation prior to release and delivery.
- Coordinate with procurement, engineering and project teams to ensure alignment between quality requirements and material delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate procurement quality records and support client audits, inspections and project quality reporting.
- Support continuous improvement of procurement quality processes and risk prevention across projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or related discipline).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in EPC projects with strong exposure to procurement quality, QA/QC, inspections or vendor management.
- Experience working on ADNOC, TAQA or similar EPC projects is preferred.
- Good knowledge of procurement quality processes, contract management, vendor inspections, and material certification requirements.
- Experience in ITP review, vendor document review, inspections, FATs etc.
- Strong coordination, communication and documentation skills.
- Detail‑oriented, compliance‑focused and able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Must be able to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
- Will be required to work on high platforms or confined spaces, adhering strictly to safety standards.
- May be required to work overtime or extended shifts based on project deadlines.
