Job Description

Our fleet of trucks and heavy equipment is essential to our operations, and we’re looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team and keep our equipment running smoothly.

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel trucks, small engine equipment and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engines and small engine repair, and preferably a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and PA State Inspection License. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tire replacements.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on small engine equipment such as saws.
  • Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance and communicate with stakeholders regarding the repairs completed.
  • Assist with road calls and breakdowns as needed.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and in good working order.
  • Follow company safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) and PA State Inspection License – Strongly Preferred.  Company will provide training to obtain after probationary period with 1 year employment agreement.
  • 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in a construction or concrete industry setting
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Small engine and equipment repair knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25- $30.75 per hour depending on skills and qualifications

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, some Saturdays
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability
