Position Summary
The primary responsibility of this position is to overseethe entire process of bidding and preparing used vehicles for sale, ensuring high-quality repairs, detailing, and safety standards are met efficiently. Manage workflow, staff (Edmond, Northwest Expressway, Norman), and third-party vendors to minimize downtime, reduce costs, and maximize inventory turnover speed.

- Drive operational excellence within the reconditioning department by providing daily supervision, hands-on coaching, and the leadership necessary to maintain high performance, strict safety compliance, and the highest level of service.
- Responsible for directing the efficient flow of inventory through inspection, paint correction, body work, and detailing to ensure all vehicles are retail-ready within strict timelines.
- Perform comprehensive inspections of every vehicle to guarantee that safety and cosmetic appearance meet the manufacturer and Bob Moore standard.
- Serve as the primary liaison for outside vendors, coordinating all sublet work including paintless dent repair, glass replacement, and upholstery services.
- Oversee repair budgets and maintain meticulous documentation of all invoices to ensure cost-effectiveness and administrative accuracy.
- Partner with the General Managers and Sales Managers to identify high-demand units and prioritize shop workflow based on current market needs.
- Controls expenses such as paint and supplies, inventory, and policy adjustments.
- Constantly monitor maintenance of recon booths and other large, fixed assets to ensure long-term usage and value.
- Maintain conformity with government regulations and comply with Auto Group policies and processes regarding safety and hazardous waste disposal.
- Uses personal device to provide an additional layer of security for company network and site access through multi-factor authentication.
- Complete all required training and certification courses.

Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are the minimum degrees, certifications, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of this position.
- ICAR Certification or willingness to complete
- 3 to 5+ years of automotive service, repair, or reconditioning experience with prior management experience.
- Valid driver’s license without restrictions that affect your ability to operate company owned vehicle(s) and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
- High School Education or GED equivalent.

- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- The employee will frequently be exposed to loud noises and must be able to locate and discriminate sounds in this loud environment.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
- Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol urinalysis and be able to drive a vehicle.
