Summary
The Director of Facilities & Maintenance oversees the operation, maintenance, and long-term care of all Black Butte Ranch buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. This role leads a team to ensure facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained while supporting guest satisfaction and asset preservation. The Director also manages capital projects, budgets, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of facilities and maintenance teams
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs
- Plan and execute capital improvement projects
- Manage departmental budgets and forecast long-term needs
- Ensure all systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural) operate safely and efficiently
- Oversee construction, renovation, and repair projects
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, building codes, and environmental regulations
- Manage vendor relationships and service contracts
- Lead, train, and develop team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field preferred
- 7+ years of facilities management experience, ideally in hospitality or resort operations
- Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance operations
- Experience with capital planning and project management
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
