Job Title: Team Leader – Financial Shared Services (FSS)


Location: Indore Department: Finance / Shared Services Reporting To: Assistant 

Manager / Manager – FSS


Role Overview:
 

The Team Leader – Financial Shared Services will be responsible for managing a team of finance professionals to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient execution of financial processes. This role requires strong leadership, process knowledge, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a shared services environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team handling core finance processes such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Reconciliations.

Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and compliance standards across all financial operations.

Monitor daily operations and resolve process-related issues to maintain service quality.

Support month-end and year-end closing activities in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Review and approve transactions, reports, and reconciliations prepared by the team.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business requirements and transitions.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

3–5 years of experience in finance operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.

Strong understanding of finance processes and accounting principles.

Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office tools.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Attributes:

Experience in a shared services or BPO environment.

Exposure to global finance operations and multi-country processes.

Knowledge of compliance standards such as SOX or internal audit controls.
