Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations for assigned joint venture and MSA partnerships, ensuring accurate financial reporting, detailed analysis, and timely close processes.

This role leads and develops a team of Staff and Senior Accountants, while serving as the primary accounting partner to internal stakeholders and hospital partner finance teams. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in driving process improvements, supporting new center implementations, and ensuring consistency across all joint venture and MSA accounting and financial reporting activities.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

· The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.

· Lead, coach, and develop a team of Staff and Senior Accountants, ensuring high-quality work, accountability, and timely delivery of all accounting activities

· Oversee and actively participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements

· Prepare and review financial reporting packages for assigned partnerships, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with internal and partner expectations

· Serve as the primary accounting liaison to hospital partner finance teams, coordinating the collection, review, and analysis of partner-supplied financial data

· Ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of financial data across all assigned entities, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed

· Support and lead implementation efforts for new joint venture and MSA partnerships and center openings, including establishing accounting processes and reporting structures

· Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, standardize workflows, and strengthen internal controls

· Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements, and support audit-related activities

· Provide financial analysis and insights on trends, variances, and operational performance to support business decision-making

· Be able to review contracts, interpret terms, and apply them to accounting operations and calculations for each partnership

· Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Qualifications:

REQUIRED

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting

· 5 - 8 years of progressive accounting experience

· 2+ years of leadership or team management experience

· Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

· Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis

· Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude

· Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

PREFERRED

· Healthcare and/or joint venture experience

· Experience working with multi-entity or multi-site organizations

· CPA or CPA-eligible

· Experience supporting new site or business implementations
