    Greenwich Public Schools seeks Learning Guides for the after-school Kindergarten-Play Program to take place at Hamilton Avenue Elementary School during the 2025-26 school year. Learning Guides are needed every day between 2:45-5:00 p.m. Work will be compensated at the rate of $29/hr. based on hours worked outside of the contracted day.

    Essential Responsibilities

     
    • Oversee daily lesson plans and activities focused on developing children's social/motor skills and oral language
    • Assist children with play, phonemic awareness, assignments, and homework, such as reading, writing, and mathematics
    • Prepare learning materials and equipment, such as books, arts and crafts, stationery, and other supplies, as needed
    • Assist tutoring students in academic subjects such as reading, writing, mathematics, and phenomic awareness
    • Assist with behavior management, discipline, and interpersonal actions, acting always as a role model
    • Mentor students in a variety of learning and life experiences
     

    Qualifications

     
    • Preference will be given to Hamilton Avenue Elementary School teachers, then to other Greenwich Public Schools staff with elementary school teacher certification
