Job Description

POSITION:  HSU Workstudy Accompanist *Applicant Pool

DEPARTMENT:  College of Arts & Media

SUPERVISOR TITLE:  Administrative Assistant to the Dean, College of Arts and Media

FLSA STATUS:  Non-Exempt

LOCATION:  Abilene

TARGET HIRE DATE:  9/12/2025

SUMMARY/SCOPE: A student accompanist will accompany fellow music students, both voice and instrumental.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Student accompanist will attend lessons with
the applied teacher as requested and may also rehearse with the student once a
week. 

All lessons are capped at 30 minutes. 

Student accompanist
will only clock time where they are accompanying and will not log practice time
or missed rehearsals.
