Job Description
The Live Data Platform & Infrastructure (LDPI) team builds and operates the foundational systems that support EA's live games and services. These systems run at a global scale and allow teams across EA to improve live experiences for millions of players.

As a Software Engineer, you will develop critical infrastructure and platform services that power EA's live-service data ecosystem. You will partner with other engineering teams to ensure the platform evolves safely while continuing to meet the demands of live operations.
You will report to the Technical Director within the Infrastructure organisation.

Responsibilities:
You will build and operate large-scale, always-on infrastructure supporting live data across EA's global game portfolio.
You will ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of production systems, partnering with others for scaling and redundancy.
You will translate operational and technical requirements into system designs, balancing immediate delivery with long-term platform health.
You will develop automation, tools, and workflows that minimise manual effort and ensure safe, repeatable changes.
You will document technical designs, architectural decisions, and operational procedures to support knowledge sharing and reliable operations.

Qualifications:
6+ years of professional software engineering experience with production ownership
Expertise designing and operating distributed/cloud systems
Proficiency in Java
Experience with containerized/service-based platforms and production workloads
Experienced with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including EKS, EC2, S3
Experience in CI/CD and infrastructure automation

Bonus
Infrastructure experience for live-service or real-time workloads
Work with data-intensive or high-throughput systems
Applied AI-assisted or LLM-based engineering workflows
Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, Spark)

This is a hybrid remote / in-office role, requiring some in-office presence in Vancouver.
