ROLE SUMMARY
The Associate Manager – Finance is responsible for consolidating data received from various departments, ensuring its consistency and compliance with applicable legislation. The role also involves providing country management with high-quality financial reports and analysis, delivering accurate insights into the financial performance and overall status of Majid Al Futtaim Retail within the country.
ROLE PROFILE
- Oversee the preparation of high-quality management reports and ensure accurate financial planning through effective reporting tools and systems.
- Review financial reports and consolidations to ensure data accurately reflects company performance and financial standing.
- Monitor and report any financial risks, impairments, or issues that may impact company results and operations.
- Ensure monthly consolidation of accounting results across all country business units for accurate reporting.
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans while ensuring compliance with approved budgets and corrective actions when needed.
- Manage General Ledger, treasury, fixed assets, project accounting, and balance sheet reviews, including supplier payment terms and insurance matters.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, financial policies, procedures, and internal controls while driving process improvements and tax optimization.
- Support team performance management, training, mentorship, manpower planning, and implementation of corporate finance policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Commerce with 6+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in retail, supported by strong analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Minimize reporting errors and ensure compliance with financial standards to reduce audit findings.
- Submit audit requirements on time and ensure readiness for internal and external audit reviews.
- Prepare and deliver financial reports with high accuracy and within required deadlines.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and support the timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure timely processing of payments and smooth completion of financial transactions.
