Position Summary: Currituck County Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate art teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will inspire students to achieve their academic potential while fostering a love for learning.


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Instruction: Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons aligned with state standards and curriculum guidelines.

  • Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a respectful and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.

  • Differentiation: Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs and styles.

  • Assessment: Utilize a variety of assessment tools to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support student success.

  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional learning and participate in school initiatives.

  • Community Involvement: Foster relationships with the community to enhance educational opportunities for students.


 


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.

  • Valid North Carolina teaching license (or eligibility for licensure).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans and utilize various teaching strategies.

  • Experience with technology integration in the classroom.
