TI Freight Audit is seeking a driven, high‑performing Business Development Manager (Individual Contributor) to generate new business revenue and expand select client relationships within the logistics sector. We are a leader in value‑driven supply chain solutions and provide our sales professionals with the tools, support, and autonomy needed to succeed in a consultative, solution‑based sales environment.
This role offers on‑target earnings of $120,000+ with absolutely no cap on commission. High performers consistently exceed OTE.
This position is hybrid for candidates located within 50 miles of the job site, typically allowing one work‑from‑home day per week based on business needs. Some travel is required to support client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities within the 3PL, logistics, and transportation market
- Leverage working knowledge of TMS platforms and logistics workflows to identify client needs and position tailored solutions
- Apply a consultative sales approach to clearly articulate Trans International’s value‑driven service offerings
- Conduct professional virtual and in‑person sales presentations
- Prepare pricing, proposals, and detailed RFP/RFQ responses in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Negotiate, close, and sign client contracts
- Partner with Client Services and Operations to ensure seamless onboarding and client satisfaction
- Manage and grow select existing client accounts through retention, upsell, and cross‑sell opportunities
- Maintain a strong, active sales pipeline aligned with revenue targets
- Meet monthly activity expectations related to prospecting, meetings, and proposals
- Accurately document all sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts in the CRM
Performance Expectations
- $500,000 in annual new signed business
- Ongoing qualified pipeline of approximately $2.5 million
- Consistent prospecting, proposal generation, and deal progression
- Timely and accurate CRM reporting
Qualifications
- 3+ years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably within logistics, transportation, 3PL, or TMS solutions
- Demonstrated success as a hunter, with a strong record of new business acquisition
- Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and their role in logistics optimization
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities while working independently in a high‑autonomy role
- Self‑motivated, accountable, and results‑driven
- Proficient with CRM tools, email, spreadsheets, and presentation software
- Ability to travel as business needs require
Compensation
- Base Salary: $65,000–$70,000 (experience‑based)
