The Opportunity:
The Part-Time Clinic Receptionist provides support with daily activities of a medical office including greeting patients, telephone coverage, appointment scheduling, patient registration, and patient referrals.
A Day in the Life (What you will do here):
- Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal information.
- Maintains office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing, and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Checking patients in and out.
- Answering phones and taking messages.
- Able to promote and maintain good patient relations and patient confidentiality.
- Accurately performing basic patient screening tests.
- Additional duties as assigned.
What you need to ensure you are set up for success:
- Ability to make patients feel welcome and respected.
- Positive attitude, caring and professional manner.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work area and maintain accuracy of work despite multi-faceted task directions and interruptions.
- Team-oriented and collaborative.
- Certification as a medical office assistant is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Windows environment, and strong keyboarding skills.

- The anticipated hourly rate hiring range for this role is between $18-$20 an hour. The final rate will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
