    NOTICE OF VACANCY

    ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

    Job Goal: The 12-month Assistant Principal for Township High School District 211, reporting directly to the Principal, will work to support and advance student academic achievement and growth by leading data-driven systems that include attendance, behavior, and academic performance; strengthening instructional leadership and staff effectiveness; while ensuring safe, efficient school operations that promote equitable outcomes for all students.

    Primary Duties:

    • Monitor and address student academic performance, attendance and behavior for a caseload of students
    • Serve as a facilitator for the school's MTSS teams
    • Oversee Tier II and Tier III Interventions
    • Serve as a member of the school's administrative and leadership teams, and other committees as assigned by the principal
    • Coordinate and support the instructional leadership of assigned academic departments by collaborating with department chairs
    • Conduct licensed staff and support staff evaluations
    • Participate in the planning and execution of safety drills and serve as a key point of contact for safety operations
    • Supervise after-school extracurricular events
    • Assist the principal in the day-to-day operations of the school
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications for District 211 Assistant Principal Applicants
    District 211 is seeking candidates who:

    • A minimum of three years of successful experience as a licensed educator
    • Hold a current Illinois Professional Educator License with an administrative endorsement or be enrolled in a program that will result in endorsement before August 2026
    • Able to meet the requirements as a PERA-qualified evaluator by August 2026
    • Demonstrate a commitment to student achievement and school improvement
    • Understand how to work collaboratively to set goals and produce results
    • Celebrate diversity within a school community
    • Demonstrate evidence of excellent communication skills and cultivation of meaningful relationships with students, staff and families
