Description

Reporting to the General Manager of the Sands College of Performing Arts, the Program Manager serves as administrative support for the College, performing variety of administrative duties and projects for the Dean’s office, Chairs, Program Heads, full-time faculty and staff. The Program Manager will function as the primary point person for the Dean’s office, including scheduling of meetings that include the Dean and Senior Associate Dean.

 

Position Duties

  • Assist Dean with important donor meetings/meals/events.
  • Assist Dean’s Office with special projects.
  • Act as the department liaison to units outside of Sands, including Buildings and Grounds, Security, Document Services, Information Technology, Special Events, and other operations offices.
  • Serve as a liaison between Pace departments outside of Sands College of Performing Arts.
  • Communicate with and assist full-time faculty, office staff, and technical staff to ensure the proper flow of work.
  • Maintain and process records of the College’s faculty, staff, and student aides.
  • Manage communication with students and faculty through Callboard.
  • Manage technical issues with equipment in studios and classroom spaces as needed daily in collaboration.
  • Work with Pace’s IT department to update and maintain Sands inventory of classroom technology and equipment in collaboration with the General Manager.
  • Work with Ed Media, IT, and repair vendors to ensure the proper functioning of classroom equipment and resolve technical problems.
  • Work with Buildings and Grounds to ensure the proper functioning and cleanliness of Sands spaces.
  • Oversee the weekly scheduling of classroom reservations.
  • Supervise office work study students.
  • Order office supplies for the College and oversee the maintenance of the printers and other office equipment.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to coordinate Sands Special Events, such as awards ceremonies, welcome back, new hire orientation, faculty/staff workshops, and guest speakers.
  • Assist General Manager with coordinating and supervising facility rentals during the academic breaks.
  • Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.     

 

Work Hours

Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with additional hours as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience in performing arts administration.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with Microsoft programs and basic knowledge of how to troubleshoot technology (MAC computers, speakers, projectors etc.).
  • Professional attitude toward customer service and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a patient and tactful demeanor.
  • Maintains composure while multitasking and working under pressure.
