Duties

In this position, you will serve as Program Manager for Theater & Musical Theater Initiatives. Typical work assignments include: Manage Shakespeare in American Communities SIAC and Musical Theater Songwriting Challenge MTSC programs for the National Endowment for the Arts NEA; serve as primary liaison to cooperators and stakeholders. Draft and manage cooperative agreements, budgets, schedules, and annual timelines; track deliverables and program milestones. Monitor applications, subawards, and subgrants; review and approve contractors, panelists, consultants, and vendors to support program delivery. Develop and approve subaward guidelines and eligibility criteria; route final subaward recommendations for NEA Chairman or designee approval. Coordinate communications with the Office of Public and Congressional Affairs, including messaging, marketing materials, videos, logos, and press releases. Coordinate with the Office of Grants Management and division leadership on agreement amendments, renewals, and competitions; secure required documentation and approvals. Process Grants for Arts Projects applications through eligibility, panel review, National Council on the Arts, and award actions; counsel applicants and prepare materials for senior leadership.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 You may be required to serve a probationary period. Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level). Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Minimum Qualification/Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you meet the following requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: To qualify for this Program Manager for Theater & Musical Theater GS-1109-13 position your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Reviewing theater and musical theater grant applications for eligibility, completeness, and budget accuracy, using published guidelines to support consistent recommendations. Analyzing budgets and financial records to assess organizational stability, identify risks, and recommend reasonable budget changes. Applying grant and cooperative agreement requirements to track deliverables, resolve issues, and document actions that protect program funds. Advising applicants and partners on project planning and funding requirements, using knowledge of theater field activities and trends.
