• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized health care plans and emergency care plans for students with
medical needs.
• Serve as a health care consultant and resource for school staff, families, and community partners.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams (e.g., IEP, 504, Student Support) to ensure student health needs are

• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records, including immunizations, screenings, and care
documentation, in compliance with state and district regulations.
• Conduct mandated health screenings (e.g., vision, hearing) and refer students for further evaluation as needed.
• Support the management and implementation of communicable disease protocols and public health guidelines.
• Collaborate with district staff to support the health care needs of students in special programs (e.g., Special
Education, McKinney-Vento, ELL).
• Provide staff training on student health conditions, emergency procedures, and infection control.
• Participate in health-related crisis response and planning, including collaboration with emergency services when
necessary.
• Support district-wide initiatives such as immunization clinics, flu shot events, and health education campaigns.
• Supervise and train health room assistants or LPNs, as assigned.
• Serve as liaison between the district and public health agencies; complete and submit required health reports.
• Participate in professional learning and district nursing meetings to stay current on school nursing practices and
