About CMFCAA 



The Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association is a not-for-profit agency that educates, supports, and advocates for foster, adoptive, & kinship children, youth, & families in central Missouri by offering services & partnering with community & governmental agencies to develop healthy & self-sufficient individuals & families. 



 



Currently, we are assisting over 640 foster families, over 1400 foster children, over 400 adopted children in our service area. Our goal is to be a support to the families, children and youth in this area, and we work tirelessly to provide much needed services to them. 



 



Position Summary 



The Traveling Trunk Operator will play a key role in the operation of CMFCAA’s new mobile clothing closet, The Traveling Trunk. This position will oversee the activities and schedule of the Traveling Trunk, coordinate Trunk functions with the Traveling Trunk Specialist and relevant CMFCAA programs and will be directly involved when the unit is deployed in CMFCAA’s 24 counties.  



 



This position will include routine travel (2-3 days a week using a company vehicle) and the opportunity to meet families and fellow resource providers across 24 counties. This position is the primary driver for the Traveling Trunk and needs to be capable of hauling a 40-foot, fifth-wheel trailer for long distances and on rural roads. 



 



This position will also oversee Warehouse Operations.  This includes conducting routine inspections, managing cleaning and security, coordinating repairs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining records of facility usage. 



 



Essential Functions/Job Expectations 





  • Oversee schedule and operation of mobile unit clothing closet 







  • Assist the Traveling Trunk Specialist in routine operation of mobile clothing closet, i.e. driving the unit to location, assisting shoppers, registering new clients, restocking mobile closet inventory, etc. 







  • Collaborate with other CMFCAA programs, as appropriate, to ensure smooth operation of the Traveling Trunk 







  • Coordinate with the Director of Facilities to ensure routine maintenance and upkeep is performed on mobile trailer and truck 







  • Coordinate with Marketing Team to promote Trunk activities and drive engagement 







  • Serve as a public liaison for CMFCAA, providing education and connection to our services 







  • Support Direct Services Manager and Traveling Trunk Specialist in reporting mobile trunk utilization metrics monthly, quarterly, and annually 







  • Coordinate with Direct Services Manager to ensure mobile trunk locations are furthering CMFCAA’s goals 







  • Travel expected 2-3 days a week, including some evenings and weekends 







  • Collaborate with the Director of Facilities and other CMFCAA programs, as appropriate, to ensure smooth operation of the Warehouse, including, but not limited to maintenance, upkeep, and facility use

Qualifications/Credentials 





  • Commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not required 







  • Clean driving record with no traffic violations 







  • Ability to lift 50 lbs 







  • 2-years computerized data management 







  • At least 2 years’ experience trucking/hauling large trailer 







  • At least 2 years’ customer service/public relations experience 







  • Knowledge of foster & adoptive care preferred 







  • Valid Driver’s License Required 







  • Reliable transportation Required 







  • Background checks Required 





 



Salary




  • Salary starts at $45,724.79 commensurate with education and experience
