- Install, configure, and maintain the District’s GoTo phone system and physical handsets;
- Deploy, configure, and support Tyler Technologies physical time clocks;
- Manage and maintain the District’s security camera system, ensuring compliance with policies, security protocols, and legal requirements.
- Perform cabling, drop repairs, ID labeling, and cable management;
- Maintain IDF/MDF closets, ensuring organization, equipment upkeep, and accurate documentation;
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues in collaboration with the IT team.
- Provide on-site technical support for installations, deployments, and troubleshooting;
- Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure work, including diagrams, equipment inventory, and service logs;
- Escalate complex issues to the Infrastructure Manager as needed;

POSITION: Infrastructure Technician

JOB SUMMARY:
The Dougherty County School System is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Infrastructure Technician to support the district’s core technology infrastructure. This position is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting district systems including enterprise phones, physical time clocks, security cameras, network cabling, and IDF/MDF environments. The Infrastructure Technician plays a critical role in ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient operations by providing field support, documenting work, and collaborating with the Infrastructure Manager and IT team to complete projects and resolve issues.

SALARY RANGE: Twelve-month position – Competitive salary and excellent benefits package, pay grade 60 in accordance with the DCSS Compensation Guide.
