Position Summary

Kiewit is looking for a Commissioning Instrumentation Technician Journeyman for the Elk Valley Resources Project located in Elkford, BC.

Requirements

  • Valid Instrumentation Journeyperson ticket
  • Minimum 7 years of industrial commissioning experience
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • Field instrument installation and hook‑up
    • Instrument tubing installation
    • Calibration and loop checking
  • Current safety certifications:
    • Fall Protection
    • Confined Space
    • H2S Awareness
  • Strong safety mindset with a commitment to quality workmanship

Shift Information

  • The current schedule is a 14/7 rotation.
  • Minimum 10 hours per day with over time after 6.5 hours daily.
  • Must be willing to work additional overtime and weekends when required.
  • Camp is provided.
  • Rotational Allowance to cover travel costs outside of the travel free radius of 75 km from camp.
  • There is a shuttle bus for the craft that will be flying into the Calgary airport.

Additional Information

  • Upon an offer, all candidates must be able to pass a SureHire Drug and Alcohol test, and a 50 lb Fitness to Work test.

Line Creek Operations is located approximately 12 kilometers from the community of Elkford, in southeastern British Columbia. It is one of our four steelmaking coal operations in the Elk Valley operating since 2015.
