Job Description

The ICT Infrastructure Specialist reports directly to the ICT Enterprise Infrastructure Architect and is responsible for implementing and maintaining the organization’s core Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure. The role requires close collaboration with IT professionals and business teams to ensure smooth operations, while optimizing infrastructure performance and resolving issues with a high degree of autonomy.

 

Guarantee the availability, security, and reliability of ICT systems that support daily business operations, while enabling scalability, automation, and continuous improvement to support digital transformation and business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Infrastructure Implementation & Optimization

  • Install, configure, and deploy servers, network devices, and storage systems.
  • Support adoption of virtualization and cloud technologies.
  • Optimize infrastructure for performance, security, and scalability.
  • Participate in infrastructure-related projects (e.g., cloud migration, cybersecurity initiatives).

 

System Administration & Maintenance

  • Administer and monitor servers, network devices, and storage systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues, apply updates, and ensure system stability.
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Implement proactive monitoring and automation to improve efficiency.

 

Technical Support

  • Provide expert support for infrastructure-related incidents.
  • Collaborate with the service desk team to ensure smooth daily operations.

 

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain updated documentation and procedures.
  • Provide regular reports on performance and availability to management.

 

 

Requirements:

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent proven experience).

Certifications

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, VMware Certified Professional, Microsoft Azure/Google Cloud) are a plus.

Languages

  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

Experience

  • 3+ years of proven experience in ICT infrastructure management (networking, systems, or cloud).

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, security best practices, and virtualization/cloud platforms.
