Job Overview:

This is a strong opportunity for a Project Manager to grow within the construction industry while taking on increasing responsibility across all phases of a project. In this role, you will support and help lead day-to-day project operations, coordinating with field teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Working alongside senior leadership, you will continue developing your skills in scheduling, estimating, cost control, and project administration while gaining deeper exposure to construction means and methods. You will also assist in managing project financials, tracking progress, and proactively identifying and resolving potential risks or delays.

This position offers hands-on experience in both the field and office, providing a well-rounded foundation for continued growth in project management.


Responsibilities: 

  • Support and help lead day-to-day construction operations, ensuring alignment with project plans, schedules, and client requirements
  • Apply knowledge of construction means, methods, and constructability to solve problems and improve project efficiency
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using CPM, including look-aheads, recovery plans, and baseline tracking
  • Utilize project management tools (e.g., Procore) to manage documentation, communication, and workflows
  • Coordinate estimating efforts, including bid preparation, scope development, subcontractor review, and pricing analysis
  • Manage subcontractor buyout, proposals, and coordination to support timely and cost-effective project execution
  • Monitor project financials, including budgets, billing, cost controls, forecasting, and change order management
  • Identify risks related to cost, schedule, and safety, and implement proactive mitigation and contingency plans
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders while supporting business development efforts
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, insurance requirements, and regulatory guidelines, including documentation and issue resolution


Education/Experience/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering or related field or a minimum of 5 years of combined project engineering and project management experience and education within the construction industry.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of corrective/preventative action reporting.
  • Strong process improvement and scheduling experience.
  • Valid California driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check for badging purposes

Certifications:

  • Procore Project Management Certified (preferred, not required)
  • LEED Green Associate (preferred)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (preferred)


Working Conditions:

  • This role involves both office and site locations.
  • Physical demands include walking, standing, and occasional lifting.
  • The position requires visits to construction sites, including wearing appropriate safety PPE.
