Responsibility

• Provide daily care for toddlers, including mealtimes, diapering/toilet learning, dressing, and age-appropriate self-care tasks.
• Maintain consistent routines for sleep, meals, and developmental activities.
• Support toddlers’ social, emotional, and cognitive growth through interactive play.
• Use NYS Pyramid Model best practices to foster positive toddler development.
• Engage in responsive caregiving, recognizing and responding to toddler cues and needs.
• Create a clean, safe, and nurturing environment in the classroom.
• Understand and follow Ellyn Satter’s Division of Responsibility in Feeding.
• Ensure compliance with childcare licensing regulations and health and safety protocols.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive and organized classroom.
• Maintain thorough daily records of toddler care, feeding schedules, and parent communication via the Brightwheel platform.
• Implement developmentally appropriate, play-based learning activities to support children’s emotional and social well-being.
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages positive peer interactions, emotional regulation, and problem-solving.
• Utilize strategies aligned with the NYS Pyramid Model to promote healthy social-emotional development.
• Understand and follow Ellyn Sadler's Division of Responsibility in Feeding
• Collaborate with colleagues to support center-wide initiatives.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
