Purpose of Role

Responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing advanced analytics and machine learning models to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Applies statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data exploration techniques to solve business problems, generate insights, and improve performance across functions such as marketing, operations, and risk.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Identifies and evaluates data sources and collaborates with BI engineers to automate data collection processes.
  • Performs preprocessing, cleansing, and validation of structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Analyzes complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Develops and presents data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Proposes data-driven solutions and strategies to address business challenges.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams including engineering, analytics, and product development.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain statistical and machine learning models to address business challenges and improve decision-making.
  • Ensures data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across analyses.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Director, Data Science

Qualifications - Experience/Skills/Competencies

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst; financial technology or mortgage industry experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with business acumen
  • Knowledge of machine learning, data mining, and statistical modeling techniques..
  • Experience working with large datasets and data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications - Education - Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or comparable qualifications

Qualifications - Education - Field(s)/Profession(s)

  • Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.

Qualifications - Education - Preferred

  • Master’s degree

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is ($85,000 - $100,000 ) inclusive of all geographical differences in the labor market, plus annual bonus opportunity. The base salary for the position will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members in determining any final offer. We offer a competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time-off benefits, flexible spending account, 401(k) with employer match, and ESPP.
