About the opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Solutions Manager to lead a team of developers within the Innovation Solutions team at Dayforce. This role blends technical leadership, people management, and solution delivery, focused on building a wide range of tools, automations, and scalable solutions that support internal teams such as Services, Implementation, Customer Success, Support, and more. You will play a key role in driving innovation across the organization by delivering impactful solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience. This role requires a strong technical foundation across modern development stacks, cloud infrastructure, and AI-driven capabilities.

What you’ll get to do

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the design and delivery of scalable tools, automations, and solutions that support multiple internal business functions.
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from ideation through deployment and ongoing support.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Services, Implementation, Customer Success, Support, and other internal teams to identify opportunities and deliver value-driven solutions.
  • Translate business challenges into technical solutions and guide the team through execution.
  • Establish and enforce best practices in architecture, coding standards, testing, and deployment.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and cloud best practices.
  • Assess risks, dependencies, and impacts on existing systems as new capabilities are introduced.
  • Provide technical guidance through code reviews, architectural decisions, and hands-on support when needed.
  • Promote agile methodologies and a continuous delivery mindset across the team.

Skills and experience we value

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing and leading software development teams.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in Python, C#, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React).
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly Azure infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and their practical application in business solutions. Solid understanding of modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, APIs, JSON, etc.).
  • Strong experience with relational databases and SQL. Experience working in agile development environments. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

What would make you really stand out

  • Experience building enterprise-scale internal tools and automation solutions.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience designing secure and scalable APIs. Familiarity with analytics or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Experience working within large, cross-functional organizations.
