Job Purpose:   Maintain clean and sanitary conditions within the kitchen and dining areas, supporting the efficient and safe provision of food services to residents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Keep up with the dirty dishes and utensils (scrub, rinse, clean and sanitize).

·        Allow clean dishes to dry.

·        Put away clean dishes and utensils in the appropriate locations.

·        Maintain a clean and sanitary work area/dish room.

·        Keep up with trash and recycling.

·        Help in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen. Which includes familiarizing yourself with DPH and state standards and requirements.

·        Help in the readiness for state and town inspections.

·        Assist in the serving of tray line.

·        Delivering food trucks to the appropriate floors and areas.

·        Cleaning out food trucks once returned from the floors.

·        Sweep, mop, clean and sanitize dish room after every shift.

·        Sweep and mop the kitchen at the end of the night.

·        Committed to working with residents and families to develop and implement strategies that promote person-centered care.

·        Applies “5 Star” customer service approach in all aspects of job.

·        Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.

·        Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations or standards of conduct.

·        Attends required in-services and training.

·        Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

High School Diploma preferred.

Kitchen Utility/Dishwashing Experience – 1 year

Must have working knowledge of chemical safety practices.

Basic comprehension of English language.

Must be able to work overtime, Holiday’s and weekends as assigned.
