The Role - What You’ll Do
Our team-focused Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) deliver rehabilitative care under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, supporting patient progress, independence, and high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.
- Assist with patient assessments, treatment planning, and goal achievement.
- Provide therapy services, monitor progress, and document outcomes.
- Collaborate with patients and care teams to deliver age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care.
- Maintain a safe, organized therapy environment and follow safety protocols.
Qualifications - What We're Looking For
- 🎓 Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
- ✅ Current State Licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required
- ❤️ BLS/CPR Certification required
- 🏥 While 1 year of direct patient care experience in a rehabilitation hospital is preferred; new grads are encouraged to apply.
Physical requirements - What you need to know
- A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time.
- Both gross and precise motor functions.
- Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs.
- Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
- Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care.
- Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
