JOB DESCRIPTION AND WORKER CHARACTERISTICS:
JOB DUTIES in order of importance
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: For purposes of 42 USC 12101:
(1) Oversees day-to-day operations of assigned facilities during scheduled shifts, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patrons.
(2) Responsible for facility and room set-ups, tear downs, and cleaning for programs, events, and rentals; ensures areas are ready and properly maintained.
(3) Monitors the flow of courts, gyms, and other spaces; provides on-site supervision of scheduled activities and enforces facility rules and age/pass requirements.
(4) Provides customer service to patrons by assisting with questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring positive visitor experiences.
(5) Conducts facility walkthroughs to maintain cleanliness, identify safety concerns, and report maintenance issues in a timely manner.
(6) Responds to emergencies and incidents by following established procedures and completing required reports.
(7) Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable safety standards that pertain to essential functions.
(8) Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: An example of acceptable qualifications: Completion of secondary education or equivalent (high school diploma or GED); related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess and maintain a valid State of Ohio driver’s license and must remain insurable under the City’s vehicle insurance policy; must possess or be willing to obtain a First Aid/CPR/AED Certification issued by the American Red Cross and other various trainings/certifications.
EQUIPMENT OPERATED: The following are examples only and are not intended to be all inclusive:
Calculator, computer, computer software (Sportsmanship, Microsoft Office and other applicable computer software programs), mobile phone, fax machine, copier, scanner, telephone, postage machine, and other standard modern business office equipment, motor vehicle, fitness equipment, janitorial equipment.
INHERENTLY HAZARDOUS OR PHYSICALLY DEMANDING WORKING CONDITIONS:
The employee: works with and around standard office equipment; works with and around athletic equipment; may work under adverse weather conditions; may be exposed to unruly members of the public; is exposed to, must negotiate, use, or work with or in the vicinity upset or distraught individuals; works in or around crowds; is exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions.
Note: In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this is considered light work. In cases of emergency, unpredictable situations, and/or department needs, may be required to lift, push, pull, and/or carry objects heavier than D.O.L. strength ratings recommend.
