Position Summary
Green Forest Intermediate School is seeking a highly qualified 4th Grade Teacher to provide standards-based instruction aligned to the Arkansas Academic Standards. The ideal candidate will be committed to student growth, data-driven instruction, and active participation in a Professional Learning Community (PLC) to ensure high levels of learning for all students.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the Arkansas Academic Standards in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
Develop and administer formative and summative assessments aligned to state standards.
Use student data to inform instruction and implement appropriate interventions and enrichment.
Participate in grade-level Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings to:
Develop common assessments and pacing guides
Analyze student achievement data
Identify essential standards and learning targets
Plan targeted interventions and enrichment opportunities
Maintain a structured, positive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
Collaborate with colleagues, instructional coaches, and support staff.
Implement district initiatives and comply with Arkansas Department of Education guidelines.
Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education
Valid Arkansas Teaching License with Elementary Education (K–6 or 1–6) certification.
Knowledge of Arkansas Academic Standards and state assessment expectations.
Demonstrated ability to use data to drive instructional decisions.
Strong collaboration skills and commitment to PLC participation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching upper elementary grades.
Experience with literacy instruction aligned to the Science of Reading.
Familiarity with Arkansas LEARNS Act requirements and state accountability measures.
Familiarity with Arkansas Teacher Excellence and Support System (TESS).
