Duties
You will perform a full range of duties and responsibilities in preventing terrorist activities, resolving offenses, etc.,You will mirandize suspects and testify in court as it pertains to enforcing regulations aboard Navy installations.,You will collect, protect and process evidence from crime scenes.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Issues citations in violation of law enforcement regulations. Conducts investigations related to critical incidents (i.e., traffic accidents, domestic violence, assaults, child abuse/neglect) in accordance to policies and procedures. Interviews witnesses to gather information about incidents. Conducts inspections of vehicles to detect the unauthorized removal of classified material, government property, contraband, weapons, explosives or any items detrimental to security. For GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying law enforcement and security enforcement procedures, regulations and operations to perform routine and recurring kinds of fixed post assignments. Apprehending or detaining personnel by the use of force or police equipment (i.e., firearms, taser, Oleoresin Capsicum (OS)spray). Preparing police reports concerning incidents and actions taken. Conducting inspections of vehicles to detect the unauthorized removal of classified material, government property, contraband, weapons, explosives, or any items detrimental to security. Education
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE (GS-05): Successfully completed a four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in Police Science or comparable degree program related to the work of the position. OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Possess a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal to one-hundred percent. (NOTE ON SUBSTITUTION OF TRAINING FOR EXPERIENCE): Successful completion of a Federal, State, County or municipal police academy or comparable training course that included at least 40 classroom hours of instruction in police department procedures and methods, and local law and regulations, may be substituted for a maximum of 3 months specialized experience or 6 months of general experience.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
