We are searching for an experienced Accounting Team Leader at our MSC Service Center Greece - Piraeus facility.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, a global leader in shipping and logistics, is seeking an Accounting Team Leader to join our Service Center in Greece. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role within a dynamic, multicultural, and evolving environment.

Job Purpose
The Accounting department at MSC Service Center Greece is dedicated to delivering high‑quality transactional accounting services. As the Accounting Team Leader, you will manage and guide the team responsible for these transactional accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all processes. In this dynamic role, you will oversee the monthly performance of our worldwide agencies across various finance projects, provide essential guidance on diverse finance matters, and remain engaged in a continuously evolving environment with frequent new tasks and initiatives.

Team Leadership & Coordination
-Manage and lead the daily operations of the transactional accounting team, ensuring accuracy, timely execution, and adherence to procedures.
-Allocate tasks effectively based on team capacity, priorities, and workload distribution.
-Keep manuals, procedures, and internal documentation fully updated.
-Train, mentor, and support new team members during onboarding and beyond.
-Monitor team productivity and performance through KPIs, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement.

Your role will entail overseeing and ensuring high‑quality delivery of the team’s daily tasks, including:
-Posting vendor invoices for MSC in SAP.
-Performing vendor Statement of Account (SoA) reconciliations.
-Issuing customer invoices, following up on payments, and preparing necessary reporting.
-Reviewing Bank Master Data requests for vendors and customers in SAP.
-Monitoring Vessel Disbursement Accounts.
-Reviewing intercompany transactions in SAP.
-Supporting various finance projects and operational deliverables.
