Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Elba Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Elba, AL. As a vital member of our rehabilitation team, you will work closely with our occupational therapists to provide high-quality care to patients recovering from injuries, illnesses, or surgeries. Responsibilities:

  • Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients

  • Conduct occupational therapy treatments and interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist

  • Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to occupational therapists

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient treatments and progress

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

  • Provide patient education and support to promote independence and confidence

  • Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Alabama

  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
