    Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a Kindergarten Teacher at Palmer Lake Elementary School beginning with the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, a willingness to be a team player, as well as strong collaboration and communication skills. We value educators who work well with colleagues and partner closely with families to support student success. Candidates must have, or be eligible to receive, a current Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement and meet CDE READ Act requirements. Applicants should have a solid foundation in literacy and a genuine understanding of the developmental needs of early elementary students. Preference will be given to candidates with experience using the CKLA and Everyday Math curriculums.  The first day for teachers new to our district is July 31, 2026.

    Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting.  As a guideline, we offer up to 17 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 18, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,550-$73,848. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website.
