Summary
As an Apprentice�Body Technician, you�ll help restore damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition in line with company specifications, processes, and time standards. You�ll assist with repairing, replacing, and refinishing exterior panels and learn to address internal structural components�building the foundation to become a stand-alone technician.
What you�ll do
Repair vehicles per estimate and established standards; prepare vehicles for body work
Remove damaged parts and install replacements; realign structural components using specialized tools
Communicate promptly with management about supplemental repairs or timing impacts
Keep tools/equipment in good working order and operate them safely
Maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free work area and wear required PPE (including eye protection)
Pitch in across the team to repair and prep vehicles based on schedule needs
Stay current and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., hazardous waste)
What you�ll bring
Working knowledge of collision repair processes, techniques, and materials; typically 1�3 years of collision shop experience
Understanding of vehicle structure and component R&R (doors, windshields, fenders, etc.)
Strong attention to detail; ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced, production environment
Physical capability to meet role demands (e.g., lifting ~35 lbs routinely, up to ~70 lbs occasionally; climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, balancing; reaching and fine motor dexterity)
