Summary

As an Apprentice�Body Technician, you�ll help restore damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition in line with company specifications, processes, and time standards. You�ll assist with repairing, replacing, and refinishing exterior panels and learn to address internal structural components�building the foundation to become a stand-alone technician.

What you�ll do

  • Repair vehicles per estimate and established standards; prepare vehicles for body work

  • Remove damaged parts and install replacements; realign structural components using specialized tools

  • Communicate promptly with management about supplemental repairs or timing impacts

  • Keep tools/equipment in good working order and operate them safely

  • Maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free work area and wear required PPE (including eye protection)

  • Pitch in across the team to repair and prep vehicles based on schedule needs

  • Stay current and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., hazardous waste)

What you�ll bring

  • Working knowledge of collision repair processes, techniques, and materials; typically 1�3 years of collision shop experience

  • Understanding of vehicle structure and component R&R (doors, windshields, fenders, etc.)

  • Strong attention to detail; ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced, production environment

  • Physical capability to meet role demands (e.g., lifting ~35 lbs routinely, up to ~70 lbs occasionally; climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, balancing; reaching and fine motor dexterity)
