- Five years of experience in food services, at least three years of which shall have been with a school district.
- Demonstrated ability to manage personnel, finance, and resources.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
- Manage and operate the District's food service program in compliance with USDA programs, including the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs
- Ensure that all cafeteria operations comply with applicable state and federal regulations
- Plan and review all breakfast and lunch menus in coordination with District administration
- Purchase and maintain inventory of all food, supplies, and equipment required for food service operations
- Order government commodities annually using the online ordering system (WEBSCM) and manage the distribution and use of surplus food
- Prepare and submit all required reports and documentation to the New Hampshire Department of Education
- Interview, supervise, and evaluate all food service employees
- Administer departmental personnel policies, including standards for compliance, cleanliness, health, and safety
- Review and verify all food service payroll, invoices, purchase orders, and government reimbursements for accuracy
- Prepare and administer the departmental budget
- Meet with District Administration and other district stakeholders as needed
- Standardize cafeteria accounting procedures in collaboration with the Assistant Superintendent for Business
- Visit cafeterias and lunchrooms regularly to ensure high standards of health, safety, and operational efficiency
- Oversee the planning and preparation of special meals for District-sponsored events
- Create and distribute lunch menus through appropriate communication channels
- Prepare specifications and bid conditions for items requiring competitive bidding in accordance with law or Board policy

REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent for Business
The Merrimack School District is seeking to hire an innovative leader to effectively manage the district food service programs and provide each school child with food of high nutritious quality in an atmosphere of cleanliness, collaboration, and compliance.
