Job Description

The Process Technician will be responsible for blow/injection molding along with assisting in the decoration process and installation side, start up, troubleshooting, repair and equipment changeovers in a fast pace environment. The work schedule for this position is 6:00am to 6:00pm.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform setup, startup, diagnosis and troubleshooting of the Blow/Injection molding presses, all auxiliary equipment and all secondary production equipment. 
  • Completes all preventative maintenance requirements
  • Responsible for mold change and machine adjustments. Responsible for mold upkeep. 
  • Perform all tasks necessary to maintain equipment efficient and quality production standards.
  • Ensure safe working practices are followed and all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage are reported in the required time.
  • Maintain positive employee relations and adhere to Company policies and safety standards
  • Communicate any urgent items to supervisor/manager immediately.
  • Responsible for maintaining ISO, OSHA, and GMP standards
  • Perform additional duties/projects as directed
  • Maintain and perform repairs on all types of industrial manufacturing equipment and machinery (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotic and mechanical).
  • Analyze, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and machinery.
  • Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment, using electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Work with equipment manufacturers and/or service technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosing and performing repairs on CNC, robotic electronics, and controllers 
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints.
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment parts.
  • Install and repair electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. 
  • Maintain records of repairs performed. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Education & Experience:

  • 4+ years of set up, maintenance and troubleshooting of at least one of the following processes: Stretch Blow, Extrusion Blow, Injection Blow Molding and support equipment and/or 4+ years of set up, maintenance and troubleshooting of screen printing equipment.  Set up experience must include complete mold/tooling changes and documents all records related to downtime, scrap, repairs, process deviation, etc.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent, Preferably some technical training
  • Must have strong background in hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics and electrical systems.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish a plus
  • Experience with lock out/tag out procedures

  • Train & provide instructions as necessary to employees in work processes, machine /tool operations, safety and safe practices 
  • Self-motivated and flexible to schedule assignments changes
  • Attends all required training sessions and team meetings
  • Able to work overtime as necessary and based on production/maintenance needs and demands
  • Must be able to stand 8 hours or more daily
  • Must be able to lift or carry at least 25 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination
  • Must have good hand dexterity.
  • Ability to understand and carry out routine written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to interact with others in a professional and efficient manner.
