The Medical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Technologist performs laboratory testing consistent with written procedures under the direction of a Pathologist. Must possess current MLT or MT registry. Must complete proficiency checklist for OSHA and annual competency for all departments where accountable. Prospective candidate will be required to cross train and work multiple disciplines of the laboratory.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
B.S. or B.A. degree and graduation from a school of medical technology accredited by the committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) and Board of Registry Examination (ASCP, HEW, or NCA). OR: B.S. or B.A. Degree in chemistry, biology, or physics and five years experience in one or more medical laboratory areas. OR: Baccalaureate Degree in medical technology. OR: Two years of military laboratory training or 2 years of college and 10 years experience in one or more medical laboratory areas. HHS Proficiency Examination. OR an MLT with successful completion of a two-year accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program.
