As an Retina Ophthalmic Photographer, you will be responsible for documenting ocular disease processes through advanced imaging and diagnostic testing as ordered by the provider. This role plays a critical part in supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment by capturing high-quality images and maintaining precise patient records.
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- Start time between 7:45 AM – 9:00 AM
- 8.5-hour shift with a 30-minute lunch
What You Will Be Doing
- Escort patients from the waiting area to the photography room in a professional and timely manner
- Navigate the EHR/EMR system to verify patient information and accurately upload images and documentation to patient charts
- Perform high-quality OCT imaging using Zeiss and Heidelberg equipment
- Capture fundus photography using Zeiss, Eidon, and Optos systems
- Perform fluorescein angiography (FA) and indocyanine green angiography (ICG) using multiple imaging platforms
- Conduct visual field and color vision testing
- Record and track patient data using Excel spreadsheets
- Troubleshoot imaging equipment issues and coordinate with technical support as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What You Know
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with Humphrey Visual Fields, OCT imaging, angiography, and fundus photography
- Ability to work in low-light environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred
- Ophthalmic Technician experience
