Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs in residential apartments.  Including troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining apartment systems, appliances and facilities.

Routine Maintenance & Repairs

General repairs in apartments, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and appliance issues.

Plumbing:

  • Leaky faucets
  • Running toilets
  • Installation of toilets/supply lines
  • Installation of faucets
  • Clogged drains
  • Unclogging resetting garbage disposals.
  • Minor leaks

Electrical:

  • Replacing light bulbs and fuses/circuit breakers.
  • Installation/repairing of minor electrical outlets including GFCi 

Appliances:

  • Minor appliance repairs such as installing elements.
  • Installation of appliances.
  • Installation of water heaters

HVAC:

  • Installation of thermostats.
  • Installation of filters.
  • Must be certified to work with refrigerant.

Other:

  • Minor drywall repair of holes. 
  • Fabrication of window screens/installation of window screens.
  • Adjusting doors and windows for proper fit.
  • Installation of doors.
  • Installation of door handles.
