DevCo US Construction is hiring for a Full-Time Senior Construction Project Estimator to join our collaborative team in Bellevue, WA!

Pay Details: $125,000-$155,000/per year






Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Job Responsibilities







  • Prepare a WBS and written scopes of work by reviewing projects, breaking subsections out by division, and writing scopes to propose for bids.

  • Generate ROM level pricing packages as well as fully estimated project budgets using takeoffs and cost data.

  • Manage and facilitate the project RFP by creating a WBS and Bid Packages with assigned cost codes.

  • Minimize scope gaps and overlaps, in estimated budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications for commercial multifamily and residential construction projects, which may include retail space.

  • Gather and analyze information from project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project costs.

  • Consult with project managers, PreCon, and subcontractors to gather information and clarify project details.

  • Manage the bidding process and negotiate contracts with subcontractors.

  • Maintain accurate records of cost estimates and bids.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve estimating processes.

  • Resolve cost differences by analyzing and collecting information related to each geographic locations property type location

  • Draft and present budgets, reports, and project plans to team and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Develop bids for construction projects.

  • Navigate and understands building codes.

  • Stays up to date with building  codes and improvements in construction processes and regulatory standards.

  • Complete assigned tasks by deadlines and communicate any obstacles with your supervisor in advance.






Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities




  • Strong understanding of Master Format and Uniformat.

  • Excellent understanding of bid and estimating processes in the Multifamily Industry.

  • Strong ability to work in a collaborative environment.

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, writing and research skills.

  • Strong math skills including algebra, geometry, and basic arithmetic.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive.

  • Ability to work independently, effectively prioritize, and multi-task under pressure.

  • Understanding of the private equity business model and real estate industry.

  • Experience in building and using complex financial models.

  • Understanding of general accounting principles, financial statements, and budgets.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.

  • Excellent writer and verbal communicator.

  • Strong work ethic, desire to learn and take on responsibility.

  • Ability to navigate specifications and plans.

  • Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments simultaneously and with accuracy.

Qualifications


Experience







  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field desired.

  • 5+ years of experience as a project estimator in commercial construction industry with multifamily experience strongly desired.

  • 3+ years in a supervisor role managing others.

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Familiarity with construction materials, labor costs, and industry pricing trends.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software.

  • Ability to travel as needed.

  • Successful completion of background check and drug screen is required.

  • Must be able to speak, read and write English in a manner sufficient to carry out the duties.

  • Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. meeting I-9 guidelines.
